Toasting the dress

I bought a new dress from Layers this week.

Mine's sapphire blue, and it doesn't quite look like that on me. For one thing, I'm nursing a baby, that model is obviously not. My dress also goes past my knees. But I feel cute and feminine in it.

In fact I felt so cute I also felt like making a last-hurrah-to-summer salad, and tried making my own croutons. While taking my time picking tomatoes outside, the croutons did this:

Crunchy, burnt and black. I decided the salad would be fine without them!
