December and January

Millie had a recorder concert on Dec. 19.

JB took Andrew to a Mammoth hockey game that night.

James and Andrew designed and made "6,7" shirts at the county library. It was a big thing for a while.

During the school winter break, we went down to the cabin for a few days.

We stopped at Bryce Canyon National Park to look at the views. Having a fourth grader this year comes with a National Parks pass.

Jeff and Kim were there with their new puppy.

For the first time in my life, I helped cut down a real Christmas tree! That is to say, I went along for the ride. JB did the cutting and looked so handsome.

Millie played very well with Carver and Conrad, who brought lots of fun things to do.

Ben napped outside.

I did not know JB took this picture. I've been having back problems and tried having Millie step on my back.

JB, Max, Ben, and Andrew went on a hike to Phipps Arch with Jeff and Kim on Dec. 23.

Max and Ben wore Christmas sweaters. Max also spent a lot of time on the phone with a girl named Elsa he had just started dating and really liked.

Andrew practiced driving.

Christmas Eve we spent with the Richards up at the house.

JB and Suzanne made yummy pizza.

The cousins took pictures together and Nona also had matching pajamas this year.

Christmas Eve, the siblings exchanged gifts. Millie's gift to everyone was a book she wrote and read to us.

Christmas morning the kids waited at the stairs until everything was ready. They don't need the tape but think it's funny. Especially because with our house layout, Millie passes the living room upstairs to go to the stairs to wait with the brothers, who sleep downstairs.

A white shirt for Max.

Cards for Ben.

And cards for Andrew.

Summer sausage was one of James's favorite gifts (besides Pokemon cards).

JB teased Millie to no end about these gifts, a Labubu doll, and a baby Barbie. He would say, "Those are so cute, can I put them in my pocket?"

Ben made us a homemade Pokemon Card and I cried!

On Dec. 30, the Richards cousins met for some ice skating. I'm terrible at it so I didn't get on the ice. Millie isn't so good either but she made very valiant attempts.

We gave Baby David some hugs that night when Joe and Sarah visited.

New Year's Eve with the Peters was so much fun!

On Jan. 10, Max brought his girlfriend Elsa up to meet us and we had a great meal at Costa Vida.

Then JB and Andrew went to a Utah basketball game together.

On Sunday, Jan. 11, Andrew was ordained a priest!

On Jan. 22, JB and Ben went to a Utah Jazz game.

On Sunday, Jan. 25, we went to my brother Peter's ward where he was made a counselor in his bishopric.
